Dhaka, Bangladesh – The International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), in collaboration with GAIN Bangladesh, hosted a one-day workshop in Dhaka. The event, part of the Foresight for Food Systems Transformation (FoSTr) Programme, convened over 65 participants representing government agencies, private sector entities, INGOs, NGOs, CSOs, youth delegates, and farming communities from three climate-vulnerable hotspots: Satkhira, Sylhet, and Rangamati.
The workshop created a rare platform for direct dialogue between farming communities, government officials, policymakers, and development partners. A highlight was a panel discussion with farmers, who shared their lived experiences of navigating climate challenges and the social realities of maintaining a climate-resilient food system.
Youth delegates added an innovative dimension to the event by showcasing grassroots-level climate-smart agricultural solutions. Representatives from AAGROW and ART Lab presented creative approaches to advancing eco-friendly and sustainable food systems.

The workshop concluded with a lively expert panel discussion and Q&A session, moderated by GAIN Bangladesh, featuring speakers from Bindu Nari Unnayan Sangstha, Youth Net Global, FAO, and the Ministry of Food.
Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, Director General of the Food Planning and Monitoring Unit (FPMU), Ministry of Food, attended as the Special Guest.
